.NET 6

My most recent desktop applications use Microsoft .NET 6 technology which is very recent, and therefore unlikely to be already present on even the most recent PC with Windows 10 (or 11). It will eventually be added by one of the upcoming Windows updates, however that may take several months (or even years). Adding it explicitly isn't hard at all.

When launching such application on a PC that hasn't .NET 6 installed, one is shown a message similar to this one:

              

Click "Yes"; this will open the right download page on your default web browser; on this page click the correct button as shown below:

        

When the installer is downloaded, run it; make sure it displays this window (the version number might be slightly higher), then click "Install":

              

That's all. Your system is now ready to run my most recent applications.
